Brianna Heath, Photographer

I started ShutterBee Photography while I was in graduate school, getting my PhD in Human Genetics. Radically different realms, I know! I found there was something uniquely rewarding and beautiful in being able to use my love of photography to capture important moments in people’s lives–their engagements, their weddings, their children, their growing families, their graduations.

I got my first digital camera when I was about 10 years old. It was a bulky giant that took floppy disks. Starting out photographing nature and macros, I quickly found that I loved capturing human moments.

My style of photography is natural, candid, and vibrant. I love capturing natural moments and important details. I like to get to know my clients and work with them to create something custom for them, rather than having a standard package. I also like being able to get images back to clients quickly, so they can immediately enjoy the pictures and share that enjoyment with their friends and family. For that reason, I have a 10 day guaranteed turn-around on all digital albums (including weddings!).

In early 2016, I moved back to California after living in Pennsylvania for several years and brought my photography business cross-country with me.  I am now looking to meet new people and build a client base here in Northern California.

When I am not in photographer mode, I work in Sacramento doing autism research and enjoy spending time with my dog, Beau, and my family.

Bryan Heath and Marin Deason, Assistant Photographers

I am lucky to share my photography passion with two amazing members of my family.  My dad, Bryan Heath, and my niece, Marin Deason.  Since I moved my business to California, I have been able to work with these two to assist me and work as second shooters.  They each bring something unique in their style and composition, and I love working as a team with each of them!
